Rob Bell is a partner with Treacy & Company. With over 20 years of experience advising senior executives on a variety of strategic issues, Rob has developed a specialization in growth strategy and innovation. At Treacy & Company he has pioneered cutting-edge approaches to help companies more effectively identify market opportunities and focus innovation to accelerate organic growth with a deep emphasis on the special challenges associated with solutions businesses. His work has spanned a broad range of industries including diversified industrials, manufacturing process automation, transportation, telecommunications, IT, software, insurance, pharmaceuticals, agricultural and construction equipment, medical instruments and energy.
Mr. Bell also has substantial experience working on entrepreneurial ventures. He was formerly the lead partner for venturing at Treacy & Company with responsibility for generating and evaluating new venture concepts. Over the course of his career he has worked with both start-up management teams and venture capital/private equity investors on a wide variety of new businesses. His venture-related work has ranged from zero-stage business concept development to refining new business models, developing go-to-market strategies and helping to secure financing. He applies this experience now to help large companies find more agile ways to test and launch new product and service offers.
Prior to joining Treacy & Company, Mr. Bell was a Vice President with Adventis, a global consultancy specializing in the interrelated sectors of telecommunications, IT and media. He spent two years in London with Adventis. Previously, Mr. Bell was with the Monitor Group where his work was largely focused on marketing strategies for Fortune 500 companies. Prior to entering consulting he spent several years in the commercial real estate industry.
Mr. Bell received his undergraduate degree in economics from Dartmouth College. He also holds an MA in economics and an MS in foreign service – with honors in international business – from Georgetown University. He earned his MBA in finance from George Washington University. Mr. Bell resides in Dover, Massachusetts, with his wife, Lisa, and three daughters, Olivia, Emily and Carly.
